Everton record 15 million signing Marouane Fellaini from Standard Liege is just what Everton need. The Belgium international has been one of the top players in the Belgium league in the last year or so. The 20 year old midfielder of Moroccan descent is confident he will succeed in the Premier League. He is not worried about the hefty fee either. He said "I am very happy to be signing for Everton," "The fee is not a problem. I am coming here to continue my progression and my game as well as working hard for the team and helping us win games. "All the fee shows is that the club has faith in me and that is something that should be looked on as a positive. "I can't wait to get started, to show my qualities and what I am about. "I had been aware that Everton had been interested in me and watching my progress for some time. "I can bring youthful enthusiasm and I am really keen to do well and succeed. "I am a physical player and my style and strength will really fit in with the English game. I want to help take the team forward as much as I can.” He is the sort of player that Everton have been crying out for since the departure of Lee Carsley earlier this summer. The midfielder is perfectly equipped for the rigours of the Premier League. He’s strong, athletic and 6ft 4. Height is one thing that Everton’s midfield is missing. Everton’s midfield has also lacked any sort of co-ordination in the first three games of the season. Defender Phil Jagielka and 17 year old Jack Rodwell have been playing in the central midfield roles, so the timing of Fellaini’s could not be better.
