The acceleration is not quite as fast and a little louder, but still saves energy well. Dual overhead camshafts, four cylinder valves, computerized multiport fuel injection system, and intake runners with separate throttle valves are all advanced features of the four-stroke engine. Costing nearly $1400 less than their identical Honda counterparts, the Yamaha outboard motor becomes one of the best deals around. For a reasonable cost, you can get a Suzuki outboard that is small and efficient. These 1.77-liter outboards are closely related to the two-stroke Evinrude or Mercury, resulting in parallel performance and noise levels. It's weight is between the heavier Mercury and lighter Evinrude motors. Suzuki's outboard motors are better than Mercury's at preventing spills because they have a 6-quart oil tank concealed beneath the engine cowling. Choose a stainless steel prop along with your base package at the price of $8934 as an added bonus. This is $1,000 to $2,000 below our competitors. The one drawback is fuel consumption, with Suzuki burning twice as much gas as the Evinrude. Concern for the environment is the hallmark of avid boaters. They want to keep the lakes clean and the fish able to reproduce healthily for their grandchildren.
