NCLEX- 14 Tips To Know!

Plan for your NCLEX exam the moment you decide to take classes in nursing. Plan your schedule, buy the books and review the reading materials and reading materials to the NCLEX Test prep audios.
1). Study! Bring a digital recorder to class. Immediately following class review the recorded seminar. Read class notes you have taken.. Read the materials that were assigned. Do the homework.Prepare for your first exam. This must be done on a consistent basis.
2). Prepare! Prepare for the NCLEXexams well in advance so you will have time to see and address areas of concern. Don't try to learn all the information the night prior to the exam. There is a tremendous amount of content on the test and it is not likely that you can learn it all at once.
3). Make a guide! Create a study guide. Write the themes, questions, answers, formulas and information in a binder or on the computer. This should be a reference guide for frequent and quick review. It will make it easier efficient to retain this information and recall the study material when it comes time to take the test.
4). Budget your time! If you listen to the NCLEX prep audios , you will be able to comprehend the information rapidly when you are reading, as the you will recognize the content. This will and save you time while you are studying. It will also leave you more time to pay attention to the areas that need attention.
5). Attend! Go to every seminar, especially when there is a test review. Many instructors are intimately familiar with the exam. They will prepare you for what to expect. Professors will often tell you the content and the format of the test, as well as some particular questions which you may (Will!) see on the exam. Professors often teach to the test.
6). Ask! Request that the teacher to specify content that will be included on the exam.
7). Review! Read over any material from practice tests, assignments, sample problems, study material, the textbook, class notes and of course your audio study materials.
8). Sleep! Get plenty of sleep the night before the test. Statistics show that students that are well rested score higher grades than those that cram.
9). Eat! eat a good breakfast. Don't make it too heavy or you are likely to feel sleepy bring a snack for the break. The exam is six hours long for NCLEX RN and five hours for NCLEX PN.
10). Arrive Early! Go early for the test. It is surprising how many instructors will provide students with last minute tips. It is also a chance to get a question answered by a peer student. Of course this may not happen for the NCLEX exam itself, but for tests leading up to it.
11).Go to the bathroom! Go to the bathroom prior to beginning the exam. This may seem obvious, but many students don't think about this. You don't want to be distracted.
12). Where a watch! There is plenty of time to take the NCLEX Exam Very few students run out of time. Wear a watch and don't rush yourself.
13).Be positive! Keep a positive attitude. You have prepared well for the test. It is time to go in there with confidence and relax. You know the content now you are going to prove it.
14). Mark the questions you don't know! If you are not sure of an answer, mark it for review and then come back to it. There are often other questions that trigger the memory of previously asked questions.
You just passed the NCLEX exam!
