Why are Bed and Breakfasts in Quebec not popular?

By: Bob Cirius

In America and in Western Canada, Bed and breakfasts have been incredibly popular for the past 30 years. At reasonable rates and with a homey feel, these establishments have been giving great value to customers not wanting to have yet another forgettable time in a big chain type hotel.

In the province of Quebec, these Inns haven't had the demand from customers as in other cities and are, slowly but surely, starting to get noticed by travelers. Only a few hotels are branded as Bed and Breakfasts in the city of Quebec.

Unlike hotels, these Inns are simpler but still luxurious, have a familiar atmosphere and incredibly low rates for the quality of service they provide. The whole thing is always an experience unlike anything you've seen before.

The right way to enjoy a city like Quebec is not by staying at the Hilton Hotel but in a B&B to really get a feel for the city.

So, next time you travel (especially in this great city of Quebec) make sure to check out the great B&B's they have all around Old Quebec. You will never be disappointed.
